Central Thunder built its second straight win on control. A 27 from 28 completion record gave Central 55 percent possession, and five tries turned that platform into a 30 to 18 result against Sydney.
Luke Driscoll was player of the match after scoring twice, running for 198 metres and making 20 tackles. Luke Malkus added 202 metres, five tackle breaks, three line breaks and a try, while Lucie Driscoll scored a try and converted all five Central tries.
Sydney crossed three times and made Central work through 152 tackles, but a five-error count and 81 percent completion rate left the Wedgetails chasing the game.
