New Zealand delivered the biggest score of Round 3, beating Brisbane 40 to 16 with seven tries and an extraordinary 29 from 30 completion record.
The Renegades held 61 percent possession, made only two errors and forced the Pirates to complete 185 tackles. Aka Tank scored three tries and ran for 196 metres, while Jye McCartney contributed a try, six conversions and 17 tackles.
Brisbane scored through James Sedgyfurgo, AJ Brimmo and Jacob Morrison. AJ Brimmo led the Pirates with 292 metres, but New Zealand’s control limited Brisbane to 39 percent possession.
