Bailey Munroe-Johns earned player of the match after 21 tackles, five tackle breaks and three line breaks. Ollie Turner added a try, 159 metres and four line breaks, and Melbourne found the field goal that separated the teams.
Rayban Mops scored twice for Western Sydney and Rapydh Rivaz added the Bulls third try. The Bulls made 177 tackles and missed 50 as Melbourne maintained the heavier share of possession.
